Podfic "Love Is A Battlefield"

First of all, I want to apologize to everyone of you who has been waiting for the sequels of this podfic. The end-passage was really tricky and the incredible [livejournal.com profile] starlingthefool, who wrote the story, helped me a lot by shorting and editing the story so it fit around the music.

So, on to the lovely karaoke schmalz:

Please be so kind to buy the music if you like it!
This is the right post to comment if you liked the podfic. Huge apologies for mixing up AE and BE all the time, but you know, it´s my first podfic and nonetheless I´m proud of it.
Also, please tell me if the downloadlinks are outdated or visit the podfic over at the gorgeous podfic-archive and retrieve it there. Directlink to the podfic in this archive. Thanks to [livejournal.com profile] cybel the podfic is available as iTunes audiobook at [livejournal.com profile] podslash with a cute cover and all.

Wheeeeeeee! *squeeeeeeeee*

Thank you so very very very VERY much, I loved this so much!!!!! Great story and GREAT use of the music in the podfic and OMG I must go dig out my 80's music now and have a listen, I've gone all nostalgic!

I'm not even sure what "AE" and "BE" are, but it couldn't have mattered too much because I thought the podfic was fantastically wonderful and I enjoyed every second of it. I hope that you record more - there can never be enough podfic in the world. *happy sigh*

Thank you thank you thank you!!!!!
mm

You´re welcome. I´m incredibly glad that you enjoyed it that much.
AE is American English and BE is British English. In school I learned to pronounce "dancing" and "asked" with an "a" like in... "arse" *g*. Well whatever, I shouldn´t care about that if it didn´t bug you as a listener.
I went all nostalgic, too when I read the story the first time and the final song is still playing on my mp3-player at least once a day.

Oh! I'm Australian so I'm totally used to hearing British and American Englishes mixed up together in probably every way it's possible to be messed up!! Not to mention Indian English, European English, Malay English, Indonesian English, and Russian English and ... well, at the moment 75% of the people who live in Australia are either migrants or have one or both parents who are migrants (and therefore tend to have a strong accent and/or not speak English at home). We're pretty relaxed about language around here! :)

I figure, if you can understand the person doing the communication then you both win. If not, well *then* you have a problem!!

And even after I read your comment I still can't remember noticing you slipping between English styles so it couldn't have been very obvious.

Thanks again for great podfic! Are you planning more? If you want a "beta listener" I'd be happy to volunteer :)

I see. That´s kind of cool, actually - the mix of languages ^^

It surely would be great to record some more, but I haven´t found the right story, yet. I´m a sucker for long fics. (Of course not as long as this: http://black-cigarette.livejournal.com/ although I hugely enjoyed reading it but you know where I´m getting at... )
Also I have to start doing things in RL *grin* I´ve been sooo lazy.
It would be really awesome to have you as a beta listener once I´ve found another story!
