Did you know Fury in the Slaughterhouse split up? Well, I knew and that was why I went to two shows of their "Farewell & Goodbye" tour. In April I was in Cologne and that was the first concert I ever attended of them but my bf is a big fan and has been to several others before over the last 15 or so years. And yesterday we´ve been to the-really-very-last show in Hannover. I was so excited beforehand... the weather was magnificient and the stars shone. Elton made a short appearance to sing "Zwei Flaschen Korn", Terry Hoax were fabulous as opening act but in the end there were so many crying people around me. I think even Kai cried a bit when the crowd clapped ten minutes after their second encore and sang "Won´t forget these days" over and over again. But there was no big sappy gesture on stage in the end, they stayed down-to-earth as their fans know them.
The concert was great but I feel kinda empty today...
There´s so much trash on the radio these days and these guys really rocked. *sigh*
It´s not the fancy graveyard-we-shot-the-musicvid-in only-one-shot-without-any-cuts version but surely one of my favorite songs although a cover.
I´ve read the other day that Mono was quite a success even in America. I wasn´t aware of that. So here´s one of their wonderful original songs with a great video from that album.
If you need me I´m somewhere near my CD rack for the next two weeks.
