I haven´t been to the cinema in weeks. The Boat that Rocked (mediocre but Emma Thompson and Ken Branagh) and Gran Torino(Clint Eastwood hilariously wonderful and tragic) were the last films I saw. I need a good recommendation though I´ve heard great things about Let the Right one In.
This Obama paper is driving me nuts. I need people to look over it because me+scientific English=no good.
And now on top of it all, I have to buy a new desktop Mac. It sure needs to be a G5 for all the video editing stuff to work and now I have to google my way through the different kinds of graphic cards that support at least three monitors and openGL 2.0 Can I please have cheap computer?!
Blergh.
But fandom makes me happy at the moment though it´s distracting as hell.
I´ve turned off LoudTwitter on LJ because it made so apparent that I don´t update my journal daily and it really looks ugly. I´m @cadeira if you want to follow me and need to know what I have for dinner.
Does someone of you need Dreamwidth invitation codes? Some were sent to me today.

How much/what kind of help do you need with your Obama paper? I've been intrigued by the mentions you've been making, so I wanted to read it anyway... but I'm not sure how much I'd be in helping scientific wording. And depending on how long it is/when you need comments back by, I might not get it back to you in time... ^^;; Still, I wanted to at least offer! Tell me more about the paper/what you're looking for in help. :)

I'm not a pro at all, but "scientific" English and I are somewhat acquainted and occasionally have a cup of tea together. So maybe I could be of some help, if you want.

I don't know if I have recommendation... "The Boy in the Striped Pyjamas" was interesting, but I don't know whether it's worth paying for. I'd definitely say "Angels & Demons", but noooo...

Can you tell me what it is that makes Dreamwidth so awesome that one needs to be invited? I'm just curious.

See, now you want to join, right? Only... not really. Because LJ is so convenient. I have an account and it´s alright and cross-posting kind of works and it could be cool if more people were there but how could they when they´re all as lazy as I am when it comes to moving their stuff? I just don´t have enough motivatin and/or time at the moment.

That´s so cool with the paper... I´m not sure that I still have your mail address though, I´ve just now started using the Leopard Address Book. If it´s okay for you, I´ll mail you the paper when I´m finished. I need to use MLA standard for the whole thing...

Hm, not really. I don't think I'd benefit from many of these improvements (being traditionally female, not blind, and neither a fanfic writer nor a community owner) and I'm actually quite content with LJ. I don't do much over here, so there are not really any problems.

Oh but MLA is a wonderful style, at least in my opinion. In German Studies, I always mix it with the styles that are recommended to us.

Yep, that was me at DPG. I met the author here at LJ. It´s triedunture who also writes great fanfiction, if that´s a thing for you. Do you intend to explore LJ further?

That´s a great site, thank you for pointing me there. My favorite film critic is Mark Kermode from BBC Radio 4 Five Live, the show is available on iTunes for free and it´s really entertaining and informative.
Can´t wait to see "Let the Right One In" then.

The Big Blue and Exquisite Anguish are probably my favorite House-fics ever. When she wrote "This, I gotta see." I could only wholeheartedly agree. So, yes, it is my thing.
I don´t know if I´ll actually use this account. I like to read, but I haven´t really felt a need to participate. But maybe that´s changing?
Right now I don´t have an internet connection, but as soon as its repaired I´ll listen to Mark Kemode. Thanks!
